Union College alumni at AIKCU’s Private College Appreciation Day
On October 23 AIKCU hosted its first Private College Appreciation Day event for alumni and friends of Kentucky’s private colleges at our office in Frankfort. Nearly 100 people stopped by to enjoy hot dogs and celebrate Kentucky’s private colleges on what turned out to be a perfect, clear fall day.

We appreciate all the alumni and friends who took the time to share in the celebration with us. We had a terrific turnout including local alumni representing 15 of our 20 member institutions, several state legislators, the Commissioner of Education, several cabinet secretaries, members of the Governor’s staff, the acting director and a number of KHEAA staff members, CPE staff, one member president and staff from most of our institutions, several AIKCU business partners, and many other friends of private colleges.
We want to extend a special thanks to our member campuses for their efforts to spread the word to alumni and help make the event a success. We hope to do it again in the future.
